An empty retail space on 66 Victoria Street presented the owners of C4 City Cycles in Bunbury with a blank canvas, one where the pair could build their dream and grow an inclusive community hub. An authentic respect for people and the environment has emerged and this can be seen throughout the stores creation. Recycled materials, environmentally friendly products and local participation are the core make up of the new store – community hub, now known as Melo Velo.
In a world full of consumerism, Magdaleen and Ricus hold a compelling commitment to harvest an environment of reason; with everything in their store carrying a purpose. The inspiring duo also possesses an incredible devotion to educate through cycling; with a notion to help those less fortunate. Melo Velo’s workshop in partnership with Show Some Love (Community Organisation) will be the location where the magic takes place, providing the space, tools and mechanics to empower children to restore, recycle and give back to the community.
Melo Velo’s much anticipated store opening is next Monday 23 October. Whether you’re a riding enthusiast or enjoy a great cup of coffee, the stores unique, organic and industrial ambient design is one not to be missed.
“We invite you to join our community, be active and social with your friends and family, respect and love those around you and whenever an opportunity arises, lend a hand for those in need. We look forward to meeting each and everyone of you at Melo Velo” said Ricus and Magdaleen.
